It's just normal to have an 8-node Proxmox cluster in your house. Isn't it? 

I always need that clean Linux box. Throw some new test on it. Boot up a Windows (so I am not messing my Windows gaming PC up). Need to test that Kubernetes thing I just learned? Pull up some disposable VMs and do it there.

I have a couple permanent nodes with some permanent VMs. My Homeassistant, my VPN GUI/Linux box, PgSQL/MySQL, lamp stack. And lately some Hermes machines that have root on their own VMs. 

I was able to test CEPH (and no, that's a big no-no if you don't have 10Gb dedicated to it), Kubernetes cluster and various servers/services/middleware without any stress and worry to alter my important machines.
